With the new day, comes new strength. I saw an ant (yes, I am talking about just one ant!) lifting a crumb of bread that is three times its size. It is incredible how an ant takes on the task no matter how big and daunting it might look like. 

These tiny ants, we either ignore, see as pests, and want to eradicate or even kill, can teach us a thing or two about surviving in this volatile and complex working world.  

These little creatures that we see daily in our gardens transporting food and constructing their homes that are often destroyed by ourselves or by nature. Despite this, they begin again with their work, because the obstacles do not scare them. 

We require such grit to survive in this era, which has transformed and has fast-tracked us to roughly 25 years into the future. In a hurry-scurry, we have arrived at an era where our degrees and experiences are not as valuable as our skills (both, Hard and Soft Skills). 

Therefore, attributes of an ant inspired us to name our new boutique start-up, DeANTS. 

Furthermore, the acronym DeANTS is an abbreviation formed from the initial letters of my lovely family, who is the compass to guide me and my inspiration to reach new heights.

What soft skills can Ants teach us?

If ants were entrepreneurs, they would probably own everything on the planet. For this era, an ant can share some lessons of excellence. 

The attributes of ants inspire the four Core Values of DeANTS.

Ants never leave what they are carrying and just call it a day! They make sure that they get the job done – they take full Accountability. So, thus we!

  • We take responsibility for something, and we don’t pass the blame on to someone else, as, the buck stops at us

Isn’t it amazing when ants carry a single object, they demonstrate Quality and consistency? They follow this attribute consistently even when someone is not watching them. 

  • We resist compromising on the Quality as it is critical to satisfying our partners and retaining their loyalty
  • We use the best resources to produce neat work for our partners, colleagues, and stakeholders
  • We are always “at our best mode” while dealing with partners, colleagues, and stakeholders while working from home or office and representing their brand

Ants aren’t overwhelmed by the total size of the objects that they need to carry; they reflect one of the famous quotes by Walt Disney –” All our dreams can come true if we dare to pursue them.” At DeANTS, we do not limit ourselves

Ants are a symbol of diligence and willpower.
